Friends and family,

When Daniel Dodge, a beloved father, son, husband, brother, uncle, colleague and friend, passed in April 2019 of complications resulting from Parkinson’s disease, we were devastated. While the progression of the disease had begun to speed up in the past year, none of us could have known that Dan would be leaving us so soon and so suddenly. We are so grateful to all who have given us the space and support we’ve needed to laugh, cry, and remember him. We strive to honor Dan’s memory everyday by living into the values he held in highest esteem: resourcefulness, integrity, and optimism.

During the years Dan lived with PD, this optimism was unfailing. Even in the midst of rounds of medication, surgeries, and a decline in his quality of living, Dan worked hard to help others who were living with this disease, believing in the power of new and innovative treatments. For years he poured time and talent into supporting the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA)’s Optimism Walk, and this year, we are taking up the cause in Dan’s memory. We will participate in the 2019 Optimism Walk on September 14th in Roseville, MN, and have committed to fundraising $2,000 for the APDA.

The APDA works tirelessly to help people impacted by PD to live life to the fullest and to someday soon find a cure for this disease. The more funds we raise, the more people can be helped. We ask you to please consider making a donation in Dan’s memory and honor today - any amount is appreciated and moves all of us closer to a cure!

We are looking forward to the Optimism Walk, and we know that we’ll feel the energy of Dan’s optimism and love that day!
