One day you, your parents or family member, or friends feel you are on top of the world! When one day you notice your body changing and you don’t know why. Parkinson's disease is a progressive disorder of the central nervous system affecting more than 1.5 million people in the United States. We do not know what causes PD, and there is currently no cure. Men and women alike are affected. The frequency of the disease is considerably higher in the over-60 age group, even though there has been an alarming increase of patients of younger age. “Young Onset” is the term for those diagnosed before age 50. These cases comprise about 20% of all Parkinson's diagnoses.
As a APDA Board Memer for Southern Nevada I am asking for your support in the Parkinson Disease Fight! You can show your support by attending our "Walk for Parkinson" April 20, 2013 at Lorenzi Park Las Vegas, NV or simply make a cash donation now (don’t forget to submit your contribute form for your company match).
