July 17, 2017 was a day that changed my life.   I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease that day.   And so began my journey.   I have dealt with every emotion imaginable from anger and grief to acceptance and peace.    Parkinson's Disease is progressive.   There is no cure.   Not yet.    Those have been hard truths for me to accept.    I am fighting this disease with everything I've got.   I'm not giving up - I'm not giving in.   For the most part I am doing very well and I am grateful for that.   There are symptoms that no one can see that make each day a challenge.    Sometimes the fear of the future makes it hard to breathe. But more and more  I am overwhelmed with the blessings and gifts that I am learning to accept and acknowledge.    I have a loving husband who supports me in my challenges, the most amazing sons I could hope for, a family who would do anything they can (and have) to make this a little less difficult, and through this diagnosis  I have met some amazing people who are fighting the same battle, or loving and supporting someone who is.   I would truly appreciate your help and am grateful to each of you for the part you have played in my journey.
