8th annual Wine & Beer Tasting Fundraiser

A Night of Hops & Vines is a fun and chic evening for adults who enjoy quality beer and wine while socializing and bidding on a fantastic silent auction. For its eighth year, approximately 200 participants gather at Blackhawk Country Club to sample dozens of wines from some of the country's best vineyards, while viewing silent auction packages featuring Milwaukee Weekend Get-a-ways, Badger football tailgating packages, spa packages, and crafts from local artisans. Funds raised enable APDA Wisconsin Chapter to continue providing local support and education to those touched by Parkinson’s disease right in your own communities, and also fund scientific research into the causes, prevention, treatments and ultimately the cure.   

There will be wines for tasting and purchasing and delicious appetizers served at the benefit.

There are two registration options for this year's event:

VIP Tasting Ticket:  From 5:00-6:30 pm, there will be a VIP private wine tasting featuring Broman Cellars from St. Helena, California. The VIP private wine tasting will include three wines with special, small plate food pairings. A representative from Broman Cellars will share insight on each of the wines, their wine making process and answer questions. Guests will be able to order wine from Broman Cellars the night of the event if desired.  There is very limited space for this event, and we expect it to sell out quickly---so please register early.  Guests who purchase a VIP Tasting ticket will have access to the General Event. The VIP menu includes: 1st course: 2 sauteed Jumbo Shrimp with Capers, Tomatoes Herbs and Goat Cheese in Saffron Broth paired with 2014 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc; 2nd course: Seared Pork Tenderloin, Red Wine Reduction Sauce, Polenta and Prosciutto paired with 2012 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon; 3rd course:  Braised Short Rib of Beef, Naural Sauce, Roasted Parsnips, Carrots and Fingerling Potatoes paired with 2013 Napa Valley Proprietary Red Wine. 



General Event Ticket:  If purchasing the general ticket, the event will begin at 6:30 pm and wrap up at 9 pm.  The General Event will include wine & beer tasting and a great silent auction. We will have two local beer vendors, Great Dane and Wisconsin Brewing Company, and two wine vendors, Allstate and Breakthru Beverage, serving throughout the night with live musical entertainment. 

Once you register, your name will be placed on the list of registered guests at the door. You will not be mailed physical tickets, however you should receive an email confirmation once you register. 

TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR ON SATURDAY NIGHT FOR $75 EACH. STUDENT TICKETS MAY BE PURCHASED FOR $50 EACH ONLINE OR AT THE DOOR WITH STUDENT ID.

Heading east on University Avenue: Turn left (north) on Shorewood Boulevard. Turn left on Topping Road and follow Blackhawk Drive to the left. Blackhawk Country Club is on the left.
