When facing my 40th birthday, I told Ricardo, my brother, that I wanted to celebrate running my first marathon and I wanted him to train with me. So I gave him the freedom to pick the race of his choice and he signed us up for the 2018 Lake Tahoe Marathon because it was one of the most scenic races in the US! Little did I know this was one of the most difficult races for beginners due to the 6000ft elevation and hilly terrain. This is no different than the uphill battle that Parkinson Disease patients fight every day.
