Dear Friends and Family
On May 10, Pragya, Liz and I will be running the Santa Barbara half marathon to raise money for the American Parkinson Disease Association (ADPA). Andy will also be running in support on May 11th at the half marathon in Wilmington DE (someone got the short end of the stick here). We are taking on this challenge in honor of Andy’s parents and my in-laws Bill and Lynn Ihlenfeld. Bill has been living with Parkinson’s for over 15 years and their constant optimism and work to find a cure has always inspired me so I wanted to help in the fight. We are looking to raise $1,310 and would appreciate any amount you were able to donate to help support us and the APDA’s mission to “ease the burden and find a cure”. You can make an online donation by clicking on the 'Support Me' button. You will automatically receive a confirmation email and I will be notified by email of your support.
Although Liz has ran marathons in the past, this will be the first time Pragya, Andy and I attempt to do anything more than 5 or 6 miles at a time but have found the training to be tough (particularly this winter) but also very rewarding!
Thanks for your time
Katie, Liz, Pragya, and Andy
