NO MORE swim/bike/run…. This year I decided to mountain bike around 12,000 feet for 100 miles and it should take me roughly 13 hours. It’s a mountain bike event called Leadville 100. They say it’s, “The Race of all Races”.

As most of you know I completed 2 Ironman triathlons in 09’ and 10’ to help raise money to Fight Parkinsons Disease. The fund raising has been such a success, thanks to your help, I decided to attempt this mt. bike challenge.

For those of you who don’t know my father, Ken Harris, was diagnosed with Parkinsons 20 years ago. Throughout those years I’ve seen how Parkinsons takes control of a life and steers it down a road one would never think or want to take. Many family members and friends, of course, follow the same path and many people decide they want to do something to fight this awful disease.

3 years ago I became a board member for the Arizona Chapter of the American Parkinsons Disease Association. It has been one of the most rewarding groups I’ve ever been apart of. The group gives so much of their time and energy figuring out ways to create & keep supporting groups and events that the Parkinsons patients, family, and friends so desperately need within their community.

At the bottom of this page there’s a “Support ME!” button to Fight Parkinsons. It’s for a great cause because Parkinsons is such an ugly disease.

Thank You for Helping me Fight Parkinsons Disease!!
