The Massachusetts Chapter’s annual Walkathon is part of APDA’s national fundraising effort. Proceeds from this Walk will be used to benefit research approved by the APDA Scientific Advisory Board and the APDA Information & Referral Center network. Everyone can join in the quest as participants, cheering sections, sponsors, and contributors. It is a family day that will make a difference in the lives of those living with Parkinson’s disease.
The Walkathon will take place at Reebok International Headquarters (1895 J. W. Foster Boulevard in Canton, MA 02021) at 12 noon on Sunday, May 4th, rain or shine. On-site parking is available. Registration begins at 11:00am. Bring your family and friends. The more people – the more fun! The total walk is three miles, but individuals are welcome to walk any part of this or choose to enjoy the many other activities including exercise and movement demonstrations. Our sponsors will have information exhibits.

Regarding Pets: At Reebok's request, dogs are not allowed unless it is a service dog with proper identification. We are sorry for this inconvenience.
Final Tips: New England weather can be unpredictable, so please consider dressing in layers. Please remember to use sunscreen. You can bring a blanket or chairs to use if you would like. Portable bathrooms are available.
Are you looking for a fun and new way to exercise? Come try boxing, dance, yoga or tai chi for Parkinson’s!
Join the APDA National Rehab Resource Center at the Annual MA Chapter Walkathon on Sunday, May 4th to sample one of these classes or to receive information about exercise classes specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s disease.
We will be joined by teachers from Urbanity Dance for Parkinson’s, Jane Arsham from Moving Easy Tai Chi for Parkinson’s, Renee LeVerrier from LIM Yoga, Al Latulippe from RockSteady Boxing Boston, Parkinson’s Fitness with Keith and Linda Hall and representatives from local Community Wellness Programs.
Exercise experts from the APDA National Rehab Resource Center at Boston University will be on hand to answer questions about what exercise programs might be best for you! We look forward to seeing you on the 4th at 11 am at the Reebok International Headquarters in Canton, MA, when the pre-walkathon fun begins!
